Private Photo Tours and Workshops
We offer private photo tours and workshops to a variety of locations here in the United States and all over the world, particularly South America. Below we list just a few of the possibilities. This page currently focuses on the United States but we will be adding more South American Private Tours. In addition to Ecuador which is listed below we have Guilherme available to guide in Brazil and Argentina and Jose for Peru. Private tours in Europe and Thailand will be guided by Jure. African private tours will be guided by Stojan.
Texas
Leader: Nate Chappell
Location: Houston and Galveston area. Nate lives in the Houston area and knows all of the excellent locations for waterbird photography. It’s an excellent area to photograph a large variety of waders, shorebirds and other species.
Timing: Year round can be productive although the summer can be very hot.
Cost: $1,500 per person for 2 people with 4 days, 3 nights hotel and local transportation included. For one person or more than 2 please contact us. Additional days in the Houston area or on the coast at Rockport can be added.
Colorado
Leader: Ken Archer
Locations: Sand Wash Basin for Wild Horses, Pronghorn, Mule Deer and Birds. Mount Evans for Mountain Goats, Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Ptarmigan and other Birds.
Timing: Summer and fall for Sand Wash Basin, Summer for Mount Evans which is high elevation.
Cost: $2,450 per person for 2 people with 4 days, 3 nights hotel and local transportation included. For one person or more than 2 please contact us. Additional days can be added. Pickup and dropoff at Denver airport included.
Washington
Leader: Ken Archer
Locations: Olympic Peninsula for Bald Eagles, mammals, seabirds and landscapes. San Juan Island for Red Foxes, Orcas, Bald Eagles and seabirds.
Timing: Weather is best in summer and early fall.
Cost: Please contact us for cost as it depends on location.
Ecuador
Leader: Javier Zurita
Locations: We currently have bookings reserved at the lodges and available for 9 night tours including Sachatamia, Guango and Zaysant Lodges in November, January and February. Sachatamia and Guango are my favorite lodges for multi-flash hummingbird photography. It’s possible to add time at other lodges and in the Amazon or even the Galapagos.
Timing: Year round can be good. We currently have lodge bookings in November and January.
Cost: $4,950 per person for 2 people all inclusive from Quito for 9 nights with hummingbird multi-flash photography. For one person or more than 2 please contact us for cost. Also if you want to add more days or locations including the Galapagos Islands that is possible.
